“Jamie Dornan is the godfather of my son, so it’s really funny to hear people speaking about his perfectly honed torso because he’s like my stupid mate. The thing about Dornan is, yes, he looks like that, he’s straight up one of the best looking men in the world, but his personality doesn’t marry with that in any way. He’s just my daft mate. What makes him attractive is that he is self-deprecating, funny and insecure like everybody. He’s blessed with that body and those looks but the women I know aren’t bothered by six packs and all that stuff. They don’t find those things conventionally attractive, which is good news for me because I would never have had sex if that hadn’t been the case”

“You know, I’m not naive as to why people would think it was a bad [career] choice, or why there is a snobbery about it. But I’m also not stupid, and I knew with [director] Sam [Taylor-Johnson], and [cinematographer] Seamus McGarvey, the film would be in safe hands. And, you know, it does no harm to be in a film that makes half a billion dollars.””

“They wouldn’t have shot the film with us if there was a chemistry problem…whatever chemistry means. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn’t have cast us.”

“Dakota and I make each other laugh since the first day I met her. We feel comfortable together. This is so important for this kind of movie, especially because of the complicated scenes we both had while filming this movie.”

“I mean, my favourite scene is the negotiation one, when we are at the office signing the contract. Dakota and I were making fun all the time, we really enjoyed that scene because it was like playing a game with the dialogues. It’s something I always dreamed to do. I had imagined it before starting filming and I liked the camera’s directions… I had too much fun when I saw it on the screen because what they talk about is really surrealistic. I think I’ve never seen a scene like that on a movie before.”
